Here at Blue Bandicoot Studios, we love doing what we do! We are a fun, vibrant and friendly independent film and animation production company located at the foot of the beautiful Blue Mountains in Sydney's Western Suburbs.

We offer services across animation, film, motion graphics, illustration, writing and publishing. No job is too small!

Animation

The animation department specialises in 2D animation in Toon Boom Harmony. Our team includes specialists in animation, storyboarding, illustration, rigging and layout who have had extensive experience working on productions for Disney, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, Sony Pictures and Fox Entertainment as well as local Australian TV series’, feature films and preschool and educational entertainment. We offer an affordable alternative to offshore animation.

Motion Graphics

Thinking about adding flair to your logo? Do you have a new product to share with the world? Is there a message you want to make memorable?

We craft dynamic animations, engaging typography and brand aligned motion graphics that will capture attention, communicate ideas quickly, and leave a lasting impression.

Eductional

Who says education is boring! With an ex-teacher on the team and many little bandicoots of our own, we know what it takes to keep kids entertained!

By using character animation, motion graphics and green screen comp, we specialise in making educational content interesting and fun (with a dash of humour on the side).

Animation for Documentary

Animation is increasingly playing an important role in documentary filmmaking. Whether recreating events that were never filmed, depicting sensitive topics, protecting anonymity, or communicating complex ideas through motion graphics, animation serves as a powerful storytelling tool that gives filmmakers the creative freedom and visual language to fully realize their narrative.

At Blue Bandicoot, we’re filmmakers too and we understand the unique craft of seamlessly blending live action and animation to bring every story to life with clarity, sensitivity, and impact.

Film

The film department works on broadcast and cinema release documentaries, short films, advertisements, music videos, social media content, promotional videos and training videos.

We have worked with over 20 non-for-profit organisations and our work has been shown on all major networks.
